Historically, Engine 3 is the ID for the reserve engine in the City. It is manned during fires or other significant events by callback and operates under the moniker of Engine 3.

It is also used when a front line engine (or even a truck on rare occasions) is at DPW's, where it assumes the ID of the unit it is replacing.

VERY sad to see the change from E4 to E3......just not gonnna roll off the tounge like it does now.

Good luck with the new truck brothers.

Is Engine 2 a E-One? And if so any reason why Poughkeepsie FD didn't stick with them?

Engine 2 has had a multitude of electrical issues so we felt it was time for a change.
