Westchester County Convention Parade-Ossining 9/20/08

Dont forget this Saturday is the parade. Expecting 60 plus units in line. Parade route is Croton (Rt133) and Calam Avenues, Southwest to Main Street, to riverfront.

Croton is bringing E119, E120, TL44 and R18. And we're hoping to defend our best engine trophy from last year! B)

ANd if you checked the parade schedule in your firehouse you would see that Tanker 10 is going as well.

OK, thanks. Well......in as much as I wish this could be a three event day, I guess I'll just have to settle for two (this and the Boonton, NJ muster). 6th Battalion will have to wait for next year.

Congrats to all Company that showed Everyone look good from the Pic that I have seen and when they passed the 5th Divison and CONGRATS to Montrose FD/ Cortlandt Engine Company on Best OVERALL and JOE MOORE Award and BEST Color Guard and To Rombout with the BEST OUT of COUNTY BEST OVERALL. Congrats to all the Winners!!!! WHOOOOOORAAAAAAA!!!!! I have to Thank Ossining FD they put on a Really Good parade and and Really Good Block Party the Night before with the Band THE ZOO!!! Ossining knows how to Party!!!!!!

Did North Highlands do the stand by at Rombout again while they were at the parade? Maybe another red truck for them :lol:

Can't say if North Highlands did the standby but they were behind us in the sixth division.

The wait was worth it for the Valley. Best tanker and Best Non Reg out of county!!!

The Westchester County Parade Judges Association has not posted the results on their site yet.

I would imagine the list will be published any day, now.

Montrose FD: Joe Moore, Best Overall, Best Color Guard

Mahopac: Best Chiefs car

Mahopac Falls: 2nd Best Color Guard

Millwood: Best Rescue, And 2 others (cant remember)

Rombout: Best overall out of county, and best engine

Chelsea H&L: 2nd Best overall out of county

Thats all i can remember sorry.

Millwood also got best antique and i think best (or 2nd best) ladies aux.

Croton took 2nd Best Tower Ladder, Thornwood took 2nd Best Rescue, Sleepy Hollow took 2nd Best Engine, Mamaroneck got best Jr. Corps, Sleepy Hollow EMS got best ambulance, and I believe Mahopac got best chiefs car.
