As for the "301". We had such bad luck with the last truck, and I say this with all due respect, the numbers and/or name do not belong on this one. We will however have too create something more suitable and permanent.

Tommy's Tahoe was a great truck, but also had a lot of issues. He stuck by it no matter what. It would be fitting.....lol

Well these aren't quite Tommy's Tahoe but its always nice to get new vehicles so here are a few pics of some of the latest. None of these have done a job yet, but will be out on the road in a few days..more on the way...

Noticed onoe is going to 87-A-1 to cover the Grasslands Campus. Are the new Type II's Wheeled Coach?

Are the Type III's for the critical care portion of the WMC contract?

Also, are Yonkers units still running Type III's, or everyone is using Type II's now?

Empress EMS SOD personnel with Montrose VA Haz-Mat Team member at the Paladin Center. Paladin Center personnel did a great job constructing a mock Meth Lab. During the event Montrose HM simulated entry and evacuation of patients to the Warm Zone where they were met by Empress SOD members who provided Decon. for both ambulatory and non-ambulatory Pt's. Thank you to all the Paladin Center personnel and to the members of Montrose VA Haz-Mat.

I'll bet you were expecting more photos, I will post some soon. But I have a question for anyone that would care to offer their input, What would you consider the top 5 goals and objectives for an EMS drill or exercise?? Be specific, and please exclude the usual definitions...

#5- Drill itself should be a realistic scenario. Not a nuclear explosion that occurs while a schoolbus full of handicapped people rolls down an embankment all while aliens disseminate a biological warfare agent.

#4 - Familiarization with new equipment or revisiting hardly utilized equipment

#3 - Using the drill to adopt written pre-plans and response protocols (either incident specific or location specific)

#2 - Fostering working relationships with surrounding agencies

#1 - Focusing on and brushing up on the basics

Thanks for your input. Does anyone else have anything to add? EMS, PD, and FD MOS are all asked to reply. What areas do you feel / think EMS providers are lacking?
