I have received the unfortunate word that the Beacon Hose Company No. 1 in Beacon Falls, CT. has suffered a Line of Duty Death this morning.

Past Asst. Chief and current Fire Police Capt. Kevin Swan passed away this morning while responding to a reported structure fire in the town. Captain Swan signed on the air enroute to the scene but he never arrived there. He was found in his private vehicle at his home in cardiac arrest.

Rest In Peace.

Beacon Falls is about 5 miles South of Waterbury, right in the middle of Route 8. About 20 miles North of Bridgeport. Very sad.
