Congrats and best of luck to all the new Officers! They have a really difficult job protecting the water supply for one of the largest cities in the world against terrorism and pollution, amongst many other duties.

I once heard they are not covered under GML 207-c for injuries at work? Is this still true?

I know one of them as well and wish him the best of luck. His older brother is a p.o. in westchester as well.

Unfortunately for the DEP Police, due to the salary, disability and retirement, many DEP cops use it as a stepping stone for other local Police jobs. They are the lowest paid Police in the area.
