Still, is this really so important that we need a LAW about it? Aren't there better things for our governments to be spending their time on?

I'm going to have to agree. After posting and thinking about it for a bit, the GOVT should leave it to the individual websites to determine the best policy for themselves. Most people on this site identify themselves anyway. Either by posting their name, or a screen-name that ties directly to them; fake example IFDff355. If they pass the bill it might dissuade some people from posting. I think we should all be encouraging people to post. And you're right. Go fix a real-world problem.

Who is going to enforce it? Where is the funding coming from to monitor it? People will just make up fake accounts with some other name. I think lawmakers should focus on the real issues not BS like this. Bottom line is if you violated the law to the point where law enforcement has to get involved they WILL FIND YOU!
