Hartsdale FD TL-15 Back In Service

7 posts in this topic

Caught Hartsdale FD TL-15 back in service this morning, after being absent for a couple of years.

It appears as if the boom interior was refurbished, the hydraulic lift pistons repaired, and a repaired bucket with side panels (vs the curtains) and bucket mount fabricated. All the other components on the boom remain the same (reels, lights, controls etc). As far as the body, only difference I saw was the convex mirror was moved to the middle of the front of the truck. Basically just the damage repaired. Maybe someone from HFD could give us further details.

Look at the rear metalwork... all bent. Somebody wasn't told (or forgot) that you can't go up Charlotte from East Hartsdale like the Engines. You have to go around.

Not even if you say "I think I can, I think I can".

As you can see from this photo in 2006, here is the TL-15 bucket before refurbishment.
