  1. Gall's tends to be over priced on alot of things--check out strobesnmore.com or a local vendor such as safetysignalindustries.com
  2. Ed Byrnes is car 2441 on here his name is res20cue I believe
  3. Well if ya miss them this weekend--come to the Valley on the 23 rd for our town day--fireworks at the conclusion
  4. The Association owns the land not the District if I am not mistaken. They really do need a place to put their equipment too!!!
  5. For Now it may be--there will eventually be an ambulance there--and the rest will be "storage"---For Now
  6. Wonderful--I love being on call for my job--NOT--lightning and wind--not good!!!
  7. July 7th --Be there--We are counting on you!!!
  8. Last I checked--ConEd delivers Natural gas--like most utilities. Propane is usually delivered to the site via bobtail. My complex has propane heat and such--each building has ( 2) 500 gallon tanks outside each building piped and metered at the side of each unit. NYSEG does not serve the area with natural gas. If I am not mistaken-you can convert gas appliances to LP or vice versa) by changing the jets or nozzles. I had this done in both my stove, dryer, water heater, and furnace. I am fairly certain that is how it goes--
  9. My Problem is I have a Sony 7.2 mp camera--so all the pics are big files
  10. Ok--question--How can I resize the photos so they are earise to email--perfect quality is not a problem. Like for a web site--some of them say the file is too big.
  11. Ed--I agree with you on that--it does work well. We do have the IC designated as IC 24 but after that--is where we start to drift--we should have designations for all--especially if we are inter county.
  12. Holy Smoke on Route 6n In Mahopac Falls--good food reasonably priced
  13. Inter county ops can be tricky when radio users don't properly annunciate their ID. In Putnam--there are hyphens for a reason 24-1-3 is pronounced--twentyfour one three--not two four one three. We have matching units in Westchester if we do that also Purchase chief's 2411,2412,2413 Putnam Valley chief's 24-1-1,24-1-2,24-1-3 City of rye chiefs(I think) 2421,2422,2423 Putnam Valley Engines 24-2-1,24-2-2,24-2-3 Scarsdale Chief's 2431,2432 Putnam Valley Brush 234-3-1,24-3-2 Somers Chiefs 2441,2442,2443 PV Tankers 24-4-1,24-4,2 Tarrytown Chiefs 2461,2462,2463 PV Rescue 24-6-1 Valhalla Chiefs 2481,2482,2483 PV Utility 24-8-1,24-8-2 There are othersin the county that cross up IF THEY ARE NOT PROPERLY ANNUNCIATE Take the extra few seconds and be sure you are understood and recognized!!!
  14. Well Seth--unfortunatly the DVR's are SA equipment. We have had no complaints as of yet. The software is constantly being updated in the boxes so if they don't have personality now--they will soon!!! As for the fee--I think it is $10 but not too sure--it should be listed on the website--Like I said-I don't have much contact with boxes and alike and don't know the fee because employees are not allowed to get DVR's yet--which goes along with why they don't really advertise it yet. They are a hot item and Cablevision is afraid they won't be able to keep up with the demand-SA only makes the boxes so fast ya know. Just like LNP--you can keep your old # with Optimum Voice now--they won't advertise that yet cause they are gettting swamped with LNP jobs.
  15. Cablevision offers DVR boxes--they seem to be working out really
  16. Latest word from the factory is --Progress!! Plant visit is scheduled for the middle of the month and delivery should be March/April. Delivery was originally scheduled for January but some "delays" were incountered early on. Alot of time and planning went in to this rig--can't wait to see the finished product!!!
  17. As of 0930 this date--the old 24-2-2 (1985 Pierce Arrow)has been taken OOS The current 24-2-1(1988 Pierce Lance) has been re located and re assigned as 24-2-2. The new 2005 KME EXCEL is now in service at station 2. It has yet to make its maiden voyage. The 85 made its last run at 0700 on an automatic alarm. It has answered it's last alarm with P.V.V.F.D. It has served us well!!!
  18. Let us know how we can help you--and we all can take him out back!!!!
