Do they usually have that many aircraft protecting a "No Fly" Zone for the Super Bowl? Because they don't usually practice flyovers.

Colonie EMS is currently ordering new vehicles and have made the switch to Chevrolet/McCoy Miller and adding a separate HVAC unit for the box. Also a note, they are switching from Diesel to Gas.

Unfortunately it was a pretty crappy day weather wise so didn't get to cover what I wanted and had a short amount of time to do it, instead I only got a couple vehicles, not really important but they are what they are, lol.

looks like a seagrave to me,
That's because it's based off FDNY Spec just like the Seagraves were.

Man, I hope they don't make them into ambulances, there are already too many Sprinters out there that are made into ambulances.

Yea, Federal Fire provides fire suppression to a lot of bases and they are not military. I know Quantico has a Civilian Federal firehouse and a firehouse stationed by Marines. Watervliet Arsenal I believe is US Army Fire but is civilian staffed.and Schenectady County Airport/Stratton ANGB is provided fire suppression from the Air Force.

Could you elaborate on the legality question?
What's illegal about it is right. There is nothing illegal about it, we don't know the departments rules, we don't know if he was given permission, most of you don't live there so it's not like it's your tax money, we don't know where he is coming from or going to, and all this thread is is personal opinion. Give it up, I have seen Fire Chief cars way up north from departments west or far south and not on any firematic duties and you know what I do... Nothing, Stop saying what it should be because you will never do anything about it.

Looks like they are fully integrating their European Van lines in the USA.

Schenectady is in NY. Outside Albany as a reference. They very busy with a lot of fire duty while being under staffed and sometimes under equiped.
I have always loved their metallic gold over red. It really popped on their ALFs.
Unfortunately those ALFs were leased and had to be returned. Engine 12 was an ALF bought by the FD and remains as Reserve Engine 12.
Schenectady's Reserve fleet is unique as the majority of the apparatus did not serve as front line pieces for the department. Reserve Engine 10 is a Pierce from Rotterdam, NY Fire District 2 and Reserve Engine 14 is a Hahn Snorkel(Snorkel removed a few years ago) from South Schenectady(Rotterdam, NY) FD.

Also notice the spaghetti on the street.

Some have department plates/no plates and some have official plates. I don't think there is a true rhyme or reason. IMHO

no blue to the rear?
Maybe in the rear minibars, I know blue is spec'd for new apparatus now, but you're right, can't tell if there is or not.

I have seen the lighting on the vehicles and some of them suck. I like the ones that have to 2 dual avengers but some of them have a tir3 like interior lightbar where only 2 heads are red and the rest clear and when lit can't see the red at all, lol. These vehicles are merely just unmarked patrol vehicles, nothing more/nothing less. Agreed too that I have seen other colored Tahoes, saw a silver one at a structure fire the other day.

I don't like the black cars with those graphics, maybe black/white or all white. I like to see red in Sheriffs graphics.

How can it be an emergency vehicle without being equipped with lights/sirens. I would consider it more of a support vehicle then. I have never seen an C&E or investigator vehicle without being equipped.

Also agree with Seth, with that Model Chassis and axle placement it will be used to haul something heavy. Agree too with not seeing any lights or graphics on it yet.
