New Rochelle has ordered a Spartan er/svi rescue to replace Rescue 54 the collapse unit

Did Ramsey End up buying it? Also didnt realize but Teaneck did close down Engine 1 and Rescue 1. My assumption was they were going to replace the rescue with an engine.

How does North Hudson Regional run their squads? I've seen they have quite the mix of apparatus used by squad companies.

Haven't listened to their dispatch in quite awhile but they usually had assigned a squad as Ric company on a reported fire.

North Hudson Squad 7, suprides they went with a straight stick, as all there ladders are tillers or engines with ladders on them. Also A Pumper from Ferrara for Squad 1  .

Out of curiosity I know They Had the pierce dash that is now Rescue 54, while the current one is a Spartan. what did they use before the pierce and how long has  rescue 4 been in service?? has it ever been staffed on a full time bases before, will it ever be staffed down the road??

Heard Ramsey is either looking at a rosenbauer or already ordered a rosenbauer to replace the mack tower.

what are they doing with the old rescue??

It looks similar to the slant side currently produced by Lifeline.  Braun discontinued theirs several years ago. Braun Northwest-Northstar Emergency Vehicles is a separate company then Braun, and is popular in the Pacific Northwest and parts of California.

 

I do know that Braun Northwest was awarded a bid for the ambulance above in the amount of $303,000. It will serve 7 years as a frontline ambulance, and 7 years as a reserve.

This rig originally served as Rescue 6 in Park Ridge, NJ before being bought by Walden, NY in 1997 as their first rescue.

A truck and a small boat does not make a swift water rescue unit. This looks more like a unit to remove people from a flooded street after a water main break. Im not an expert but you would think one would need dry suits, PFDs large reels of rescue rope block and tackle(just to name a few).

from some help i found out its actally a   Rosenbauer Commander chassis with a Minnesota Division extruded body,and its just a wrap for the paint scheme.
