Glad to see some forward progress on these engines. They must still be about a year out before new engines are delivered for the companies. Some of those old Seagrave engines will be well beyond worn out by then. What happens if the demo engines don't pass the evaluation? Back to the drawing board?

We are fighting some really tough manpower issues right now. They had only 14 FF the other day! The Rescue is the first rig they put out of service. But it is still a heavy rescue not a pumper combo.

Wow 14 guys thats just insane.

The city barely gives them enough FF to cover the engines and ladders. Vehicle or not, how can they cover a rescue too?

Yeah that i understand as I have heard many of times rescue 1 beign OOS so they can staff ladder 3 with the manpower.

I have heard that it is Constantly OOS due to manpower issues and i have also heard that the E-one rescue was replaced by one of the pierce and now is a rescue pumper. does anyone know any actually MT vernon news about rescue 1.

She was a beast stinks they took rescue 5 out of service. Too bad we probaly wont ever see another rescue in eastcheter ever again.

As is typical, a police officer getting good press only garners two or three replies. Start a thread about purple lights in POVs or which color reflective chevrons look coolest on the back of the rig and the thread goes on for days.

Went to station 4 to meet up with battalion 1 from yonkers.

Divison 7 is responding to yonkers.

Large water main break. 40 % of the City has no water including St. Joe's Hospital. Parts of the Saw Mill closed also according to Yonkers OEM

Engine 319 is in service so is Battalion 3. I heard a few outside units going in. And something about OEM/Eoc.

I think its 40 on the small trucks. And i have heard truck 11 is a supervisor truck and cab assist where needed.

I think 52 is a spare as well. The Spare Tiller is Ex-Truck 2 or 6. I got pictures of that last year.

I think you are right as the spares dont have the roto rays.
