Im not trying to sound like a guy with many many years on the job, but for gods sake, the whole back of the house is threw the roof, and where is the ladder footing? Theres no need for 2 guys on the ladder, might of been more helpful if the second guy was on the ground...........just my .02 cents.

This is so tragic, she was a sweetie pie, who was also due in court Friday on a kidnapping and attempted murder case stemming from a May 2011 attack. Sweetie pie my a**! If your a s*** bag, you car jack someone at gun point, run from police, get into an accident, then try running again, you may just wind up getting shot. God speed to the officer and making it through all this bullshit hes going to have to deal with.

Yea those are hubcaps and not even alloys. I hate the patch idea and the white reflective stripe, both ideas of the new Colonel.
The bumper trim idea isnt to bad, i hate the patch though, it looks very dumb IMHO.

As long as he doesnt use it while driving and crash, and still goes to fires and does his job, i couldnt care less what website he is on.

The local MSP barracks C-5 Stubridge has a interceptor outside all the time during the morning, its a nice looking car but it has the full wheels and looks kinda goofy, i dont like the full door patch, i like the classic state seal on the doors, looks better IMO.

The best part is, it happened, all the whining in the world wont reverse that, and you know what it probably wont stop the FD from asking for help again. Good job brothers. I sure as hell wouldnt b**** about cops trying to lend a hand, and id lend a hand to them in a heart beat.

I was told the only difference between the 1010 and 1044 is if the 1010 chips or scratches far enough down its not painted all the way though it will show white but the 1044 is painted all the way through and what ever color the helmet is is what you will see if it becomes severly scratched or chipped. I have a 1010 and i love the thing.

From the link that is posted it looks like the 3rd photo down in an old DCFD rig, and a few Jacksonville cabs sitting there.

I actually was in the area when this happened. I went over to see what happened, to only be kicked out of the area by county police. I have to agree with you... rules are rules. By the way, units from as far sounth as NYC came. The response was huge.
Does anyone know what a code "Blue" is... it was sent over the hotline.
Staging Area:
The Photos I took can be found here.
Nice photos, in all of them i only spotted 1 ambulance, i assume there must of been more there? Were they staging somewhere?

It is being reported this is an LODD. The injured FF passed away this afternoon in Boston.
RIP brother.

I hope they keep that apron really clean in the winter, it looks so close that it seams enough snow would keep that rig from fitting.

A handgun works fine for deer. A shotgun isn't necessary.
The dept. has found shot guns work better, especially after it took 13 rounds to put down a deer once. And yes all the rounds fired hit the deer but they went right through and the deer kept running in traffic.
-
Seems a little, pardon the pun, overkill, no?
At this point all the officers carry is the glock, a shot gun with slugs, and the SGTs carry a bean bag shot gun and AR-15. So the glock is IMO the best choice, for deer its the shot gun.

I always thought they used .22s to euthanize raccoons and other small animals. Is this no longer the case?
I know in my fathers PD they use their onduty Glock 22 .40s for raccoons.

Said the rig had to be pulled out of a ditch, how bad is the damage to the rig?

Darien's tower was not on hand, Stoneham Eng 3 and Meridan Eng 3 were there. I also didnt see Westchester Collectibles either. More ambulances than id ever see before also.

Beautiful looking rig, is the hose bed similar sized to FDNY squads in width and height atlest? It appers to be.

My truck was giving to me by my father, he used it for police traffic details, all POVs for details. The truck has hide away strobes in the front and rear, 4 stobes on the back rack of the truck, 2 blue, 1 red, 1 yellow. 2 blue strobes in the grill and 1 on the headliner. It also has the local PD and FDs on a 2 way radio. For gear i keep my bunker coat on the back of my rear left seat between the window, my pants and rolled into my boots those are kept on the floor between my rear and front left seat, my helmet is hung from a hanger right above my coat. It sounds like alot but the only thing visible is the rear strobes on the back rack.

It's real, I know who the gentleman is who took the photo, it's taken today from Louisville KY, they also did the "church raise" or what ever each area of the country calls it with the 50' extension and stay poles.
