I'm hearing rumors that Wawayanda (Slate Hill,NY) is replacing their 1988 ALF/LTI 100' RMA with a New Aerial. Can anyone confirm this?

Thankfully for the residents of Greene County...the Roto-Ray has finally arrived.....Hopefully the rest of the truck serves them well too.....

Catskill(Greene) will be taking delivery of a 2015 E-ONE Cyclone engine. Will be designated ETA 3-12. Replaces a 1982 Mack/Pierce ETA. Wetdown/dedication will be in the fall. Photos by CFC. Also, First rig to be equipped with a Roto-Ray in Greene County.

Carmel,NY(Putnam): New Tower 12-5-1 is in production. It is a 2015 Ferrara Inferno 100' RM Tower Ladder 1250-2000/400. Color is Black over Yellow. Job number is H-5733.

Greenville Fire District in Orange County,NY has taken delivery of a 2006 Pierce to operate as Engine 703. I believe this will take over Rescue 702's duties and replace the 2008 KME Heavy Rescue, known as Rescue 702.

UPDATE June 28,2015:Manhunt is Over;David Sweat was shot and wounded by a NY State Trooper. He is in police custody at this time.

Yes, that's it. Same deal as a few years ago. The plan was to replace two then, and two in a few years. Only reason 320 got the nod in the first round was because of the refurb to 322. That was what a member said at the time, if I am remembering correctly.

Saw some interesting comments on Ellenville FD's Facebook page. A vote just passed to purchase a new pumper-tanker. Somebody who hadn't seen the original post asked if it was for a ladder. They said there is a ladder on order (vote had twice previously failed for that). No info on what or when for either piece as of yet.

Ladder is a Pierce Rear Mount. Pumper-Tanker is going out to bid I believe.

Any update on this project?

Saugerties(Ulster County,NY) has a 2015 Pierce Saber engine on order that will be assigned to E-53-30:CA Lynch Hose Company #2.

Freehold(Greene County,NY) is expecting delivery of a used Rescue Pumper at the end of February. Athens(Greene County,NY) is taking delivery tomorrow of a 2014 Rosenbauer Viper 78' Smart Aerial with 1500 GPM pump and 400 Gallon poly tank.

Is that an addition or replacing a current truck?

It is replacing Engine 215,a 1997 Spartan Central States pumper. Maybrook did the same thing a couple of years ago with E-218, which they designated Engine 210.

UPDATE: I have been told that the truck has been totalled as the frame was bent in the accident.

Description: Washingtonville's Engine 583, a 2002 Ferrara, was involved in a serious MVA this morning on Route 94 while responding to a MVA. All 6 crew members responding in E-583 were transported to local hospitals for treatment and have since been released.

Somers(Westchester) is sending Engine 180 out for a COMPLETE Refurbishment over the next 4 months.

Catskill Fire Department in Greene County,NY has ordered a E-ONE engine tanker. The designation for the new truck will be ETA 3-12. It will take approx. 240 days to build with a late summer 2015 delivery date. The bidders were KME and E-ONE.
