I saw 2 of their cars in Monroe earlier in the week. It confused me too. At first, I was like "what the hell is the NYPD doing in Monroe?"

There were Numerous mechanical issues with the last 2 international / horton's Infact there's talk of rechassising one on to the Ford F 450 chassis I also believe the can fit all four rigs in their building  The Freightliner's had their issues early on but held up quite well

Unionville Fire in Orange County has purchased a 2008 KME Predator Rescue Pumper with a 1500 gpm Pump and 1000 Gallon Tank. Designated as Engine 744 once in service, It will be replacing a 1999 Freightliner/ 3D Pumper 1250/750/40.

 

There was a Stryker Strecher that was abused too during the segment too

Yup. 19 years old that truck, and in immaculate shape. Being replaced with a Pierce TDA at some point this year (timeline described in an above post), and most likely will be assigned for training or a spare, if not going to another station as a first due.

 
I'm not sure I like this idea. For transit buses, and select ambulances, it makes sense. But for a fire engine? I can't  see it really making a difference, and it must be expensive to purchase and maintain.

Bergenfield Finally Received their brand new 2017 Ford E 350/Horton Rig  Ambulance 736 They went with different lighting set up on this Rig

Here is the truck it is replacing. It's a 1993. The body will be refurbished, and placed on a new chassis in house by the Greenburgh Town Garage. It will be kept as a spare.
