A wake will take place on Wed Aug 1st between 3pm and 7pm at Beechers Funeral Home which is located at 418 Bedford Rd, Pleasantville, NY. The funeral mass will be Thursday Aug 2nd at St Michael's Church which is located at W 100th st, and Amsterdam Ave, NY NY at 11am.
As we are all aware the body of FDNY Paramedic and Emtbravo contributor NY10570 Leonard Joyner has been found. The FDNY as well as the emergency services community has a whole has lost an excellent paramedic, friend, and overall great human being. RIP Brother.

I was platooned to the South Station today. Fortunately, they had a public appearance event scheduled, so I was able to catch some of the trucks before they left.
Top to bottom:

It's Great news for the Winhall, VT Area. Winhall Police and Rescue Department is the first PD in Vermont to provide ALSFR. Very Unique and very different from Westchester.

Wells, Maine Fire Station

Kittery, Maine Police - Car-5. I took this picture outside of the Kittery Trading Post (or i as call it, a gun owners heaven). KPD was outside helping with a fund raiser.

Specialty Warning Systems in Danbury CT recently delivered a new 2012 Chevrolet Tahoe to the Ardsley NY Police Department.
Upfitted as a daily patrol unit the warning system is comprised of Whelen LED components including a Freedom lightbar, split red/white 400 LEDs and LINZ6s on the front and sides of the (Setina) pushbumper, an eight head Dominator in the rear cargo window, four HideAway LEDs in the rear taillights and headlight flasher. Two additional LINZ6s were added to the inside of the rear cargo compartment to provide supplemental rear warning when the cargo door is raised.
The Havis Stout Mount console contains department radios, dual cup holder, 12V power outlets, Whelen controller and flip up armrest / printer combination. The Panasonic laptop is secured by way of a locking Havis dock, locking swing arm and tilt/swivel adapter.
The single prisoner containment system is also provided by Setina, incorporating a passenger side prisoner compartment, polycarbonate divider and wire mesh rear barrier. Additional LED compartment lighting was added in the cargo compartment to aid in equipment retrieval at night.
We enjoyed working with the Ardsley PD on their new patrol Tahoe, look forward to doing so again in the future on additional projects and appreciate the confidence they placed in us to provide their new unit.

Oooops , just realized you were talking about the roof line behind the 2010! It is such a good spy shot the subject is barely there.

I live 5 minutes from this scene, and I was in White Plains when I got the text. I was on my way home anyway, so I figured I would drop in and check things out. I got to the top of Greenville Mountain on 84, and could see the smoke, and a Truck from Circleville sitting in the rest area. I'm going to keep this quick. Photos taken by the cell phone. Apologies if the quality is poor.
Here's my view walking up the block. For those of you who may be familiar with PJ, this is right up the road from Engine 1 and Truck 7.

Looking up the aerial of Middletown Truck 1. Yes that's right, Middletown Truck 1. That's a good 20 minute run, even with lights and sirens.

Looks like it autoexposed to both exposure 2 and 4. Exposure 4 was trashed, while exposure 2 was moderately damaged.

The official term is "swatting." Sorry, I have the memos on my work computer from our EMA people about this. Google it. Short version: hackers/losers/oxygen thieves use VoIP protocols to hack the phone line of the location they're staging the prank and call in a major emergency. The name "swatting" comes from the usual response of PD "SWAT" units.

I hope this wasn't a prank on somebody. This kind of stuff is not funny. 5 Helicopters and 10 + choppers for absolutely nothing. The reporter on the news chopper was completely incorrect.
It could be good training, in other words.
