  4. Now THAT'S what I'm talking about, someone using their brain to solve a problem. All these crews 'stuck' for 12 hours could have gotten out and walked somewhere, anywhere.
  5. Exactly. You're telling me that NO ONE was willing to take some initiative and find alternate means to the hospital, from the FF or Lt. on scene all the way to the Duty Chief? Amazing.

Those cars were rotated into 'spare vehicle' status. The new cars feature all Whelen LED lighting, dual spot lights on the two man patrol cars. a battery saver feature, all plastic rear seats and metal rear window guards. Also on order is a new ESU patrol vehicle.
  7. Good luck to those about to get hired or assigned to the academy. You'll make lifelong friends and relationships there and believe it or not you'll actually have a good time.

  12. MVPD has two former NYPD heavy rescues and a Ford F-550 truck.
  13. EMS, the TRUE forgotten heroes of 9/11. We all hear and appreciate the 343, 37 and 23 but we hear NOTHING about the EMS portion of the response and those lives lost in such a noble profession. To those lost, 'WE WILL NEVER FORGET!'
  14. Now to just get blue as a forward facing color too, like the rest of the United States, heck the rest of the WORLD!
  15. And utter tragedy. My most humble and sincere condolences to the family, friends and co-workers of both men.
  16. Godspeed.
  17. My God, that man literally gave his life to the job. He could have retired long ago and yet continued to 'Do Us Proud'. Godspeed.
