  1. This is the same person that caused fordyce.org to shut down. He caused a lot of problems on there and used to claim he was with SCPD and apparently hes been doing more than stealing radios. From what others have said he's been jamming public safety frequencies, setting off pagers, sirens, opening building doors at vac's and fd's and activating traffic signals. Hopefully the courts don't just give him a slap on the wrist.
  2. The purpose of the ham radio is for interoperability. It is a multi band radio and it is also field programmable so if you had to respond somewhere where you don't normally operate the user could input that areas frequency and be able to communicate.
  3. I guess they were a little too eager to try out that new front suction. Glad everyone got out okay.

  6. Earlier this year, Ebe Pereira, the wife of Union Vale Station 2 Captain Joe Pereira and mother of Firefighter Mario Pereira, suffered a devestating brain aneurysm. Initially she was not expected to survive but through the grace of God she did and continues to recover although with complications. The Union Vale Fire Company will be hosting a Country Western Night to benefit the Pereira family on Saturday June 20th at 7pm at Tymor Park on Bruzgul Rd (CR-21) in Lagrangeville. There will be a DJ, dancing, Raffles and Door prizes. There will also be food and beverages available for purchase. Donations are $8 in advance and $10 at the door. In addition to the Country Western Night the Union Vale Fire Company and Rescue Squad will be holding a raffle. The first prize is two Yankee tickets vs. Detroit on Sat. July, 18th. Second Prize is six tickets to the Hudson Valley Renegades for any non firework game. The third prize will be $100 cash. The drawing will be July 10, 2009 and the donation is $5 per ticket. Country Western Night tickets are available at the door or by calling 845-656-3541. The Yankee Raffle tickets will be available at the Country Western Night or by calling 845-224-8725 or see a Union Vale member. The Union Vale Fire Company would like to thank the Town of Union Vale for the use of Tymor Park, Transcare for the donation of the Yankee tickets, and the Hudson Valley Renegades. Please come out and have some fun to support the family of a brother.

  19. The fire district in Union Vale has the contract with Transcare and the towns have the contract in Beekman and Pawling.
  20. He's just waiting for the next hamfest to pick up some more radios and antennas. Maybe even a sattelite dish for some mobile moon bounce. I'm sure he can fit it somewhere on his lumina.
