I heard that the problem with the "dead air" could be as a result of the merger with Sprint and Nextel. There is apparently some work going on looking at switiching them both over to the same network.

Continential Village FD exists in both Weschester and Putman? I thought they were located in the town of Cortlandt. Are there two seperate CVFDs?

I think it is North White Plains Fire District....they had that fire right next store to the yard in that cement plant a little while back

interesting....I think I heard Eastchester on 33.96 to an MVA yesterday morning...not sure though...the scanner was running through pre-programed freqs (just got it) thanks all for the responses

i understand about response distances and all, but the priority has to be getting the rig out so the patient can get to the hosptial....just my take....

if the 911 call is answered by PD (VAC in question is a 60 primary dispatch agency) and then transfered to a "paramedic" as they said, I'm assuming that it is the transfer to EMD. After the questions are asked, then the dispatch is made, correct?

to me, Yorktown's 2533 takes the cake....two LED bars, plus like 14 other ones hidden....it'll give someone a seizure.....where can I get a pic of the new Banksville car with lights?

the residency requirement is really ridiculous....what purpose does it serve? mabye give extra points on the test if the canidate is a resident of the city, but come on......

FDNY also runs Rescues as Trucks in their first due-areas, right?

I never knew FDNY ran Rescues on alarm activations...can you elaborate on this? I would guess only the bigger more populated buildings?

thats the traffic control cars....there might be two, a explorer and a crown vic...parking enforcement mostly I guess but I have seen it around the train station around rush hour with the lights going...

What counts as a run in the yearly stats? Are EMS included in those or are they seperate?
