May not be a bad idea to get these events hosted at a firehouse.

I thought Mahoney's might be good because it's next to the train station for everyone that needs a driver from the south of the area. Never been to cooperfields so can't comment on that..........

And that exact reason, tdc202, is why I suggested it to RWC!!

Lol, well its easy to see that people from the Western region of Dutchess think somewhere in Poughkeepsie, and people from the Eastern region agree with another!

Copperfields is located in Central Dutchess. Taconic, Route 44.

I would say Copperfields. For those that are worried about drinking and driving, I'm sure there will be members from all over the county. Someone will drive your drunk a$$ home. ;)

You guys are debating which bar is better and we here in Fairfield County have to wait 13 months before this is even an issue, my heart bleeds for you.

Now someone mentioned holding these in a Firehouse, but it seems like it is leaning more towards a local pub. I guess that depends on what this is for. If it is solely social the pub is probably the best place to be. If it is more buff oriented, then the firehouse might work. Remember that most firehouses (especially municipal) can not have the same kind of beverages that the local pub can. Also since we have members who have no affiliation to Firefighting, he local firehouse may not have the intended draw, just a thought.

Too many college douches ;)

Lol, Dan hit it on the head. Plus you wont meet half the people due to it being over crowded.

Exactly...and let's not mention waiting 30 minutes to get another beer.

I am all for Poughkeepsie, just not a fan of MaBlowme's

If you do it as a get-together though, going a bit earlier, you don't get the overwhelming college crowd. Waiting until 10, 10:30, 11PM, you will encounter the college crowd, yes.

As I said though, going earlier, you can avoid the major college headaches.
