It's amazing how they believe a bird caused it!

You would be surprised about what a bird flying through a jet engine can do. The military has had a lot of incidents over the years like this.

Just heard on WCBS 2 News that Transcare Ambulance is on the scene. Also, mutiple EMS and Firefighters on scene.

I am hoping the initial news is correct that everyone is out and safe.

But looking at this photo, does the guy in the middle have his carry-on luggage (garment bag) on his shoulder?

You have to give the pilot alot of credit he did a great job with the landing in the water and also to get it to the water and not in to the city or a town in NJ. My hat is over to the NY waterways crews also great job.

Chris

And the song was IRAN........

News reports say that the plane hit some birds. I guess Fowl play is suspected.

Unbelievable.

Your plane crashes, you walk off with no injuries with your carry on luggage!

The odds of such a landing are so small. he had to slow the plane until it pretty much was on the verge of stalling, while making sure he kept the plane at a belly landing angle!

And as always, R-1 saving the day!

Props to FDNY, NYPD, PAPD Coast Guard, NY Waterways and Circle Lines.

The pilot gets major kudos for the landing.

From the news reports, they had little or no power as they turned over the Hudson. None the less, the pilot and crew executed major skills to get the plane down in one piece and everyone out safe.

I heard on the news the plane is near shore down by Battery Park, wow!

Unbelievable.

Fox was reporting the pilot was ex-USAF. His skills today were nothing short of incredible. Thank god no one got killed today.
