Bethel Engine 6 "The Crosstown Express". Originally built for Boston, but refused on delivery due to 1000 gallon water tank. This was a hybrid, built with a Hurricane body on a Cyclone chassis. This was an extra rig on the '97 deliveries to Boston, which they refused.

Question about the history of the Mahopac Rescue... Was that rig purchsed new or used when they obtained it?

Brand spankin new in 1985, Shown at NYSAFC at the Concord then driven home (By way of HVVFA convention)

Port Chester NY Engine 58 1981 GMC E-ONE lasted 7 years before it fell apart !

I guess anything that is not meant for the action it saw there in Portchester and got abused by the people there would only last that long too.. Hey, in the grand screem of things it was a longtime lasting if it lasted 7 years...
