  5. that jeep is anywhere from a 94-97 i believe, maybe a '98. my father has one and in my opinion i feel they are built very well. i do believe these years had reinforced doors but i could be wrong. I believe the speeds of this impact were at least moderate which is enough to do some damage to any vehicle. but again i could be wrong.
  6. I know bridgeport hospital was running Source capture for a while, installed when they renovated the ED. it lasted for a while until people started driving away with the unit still on the exhaust. My firehouse does not have anything like this, but there is a constant fan on in the bay's which blows air directly outside. how effective it is, well i dont know, but i guess better than nothing.
  7. Looks like this animal is dead, and better yet, killed by a LEO! Clemmons Dead CNN link

  12. R.I.P. brothers. god bless family and friends
  13. Thank you for adding to my I/A. we were screwing around at EMS base when it came in. i grabbed my partner and we started on our way. en route to the fire we were then dispatched to a MVC roll over in RT8 North prior to exit 14 so i had to re route to my actual call lol. i would have been arriving with some of the first due engines but duty called. i entered Rt 8 N at exit 13 and when i pulled up to the roll over i got out and could actually smell the structure fire from my location!!!!! jsut for everyone to know that is approximately 4 miles as the crow flies. helped that wind was in our direction. after we cleared our call i went to ansonia to see the house and man she was still hot after over an hour of water im guessing. got to see some friends. glad everyone made it out safe. that was a very large structure and from what i saw was well involved. good job guys;) edit to add question - Izzy - when they dispatched seymour for coverage why did they state that Ansonia was working a structure fire involving 4 buildings? was that because it was a 4 family residence? I saw the house next door had siding damage due to heat, were there any other exposure issues?

  22. I understand the point being made...but I just feel that criminals are getting wayyyyy too much these days. I might get slammed for this, but if i was a LEO, screw it, im gunna hit em where ever it goes. To me, they are the lucky ones as instead of a shock, it could be a hot piece of lead instead. just my 2 cents.
