RIP, thoughts and prayers are with the family.

I may be mistaken, but I don't think they roll with just one person, unless it is a confirmed ALS call in which they can guarantee that the medic will be riding it in.
The only time Croton will roll "driver only," is when an EMT notifies the driver that they'll meet them on scene or as newsbuff said, a medic can confirm that they'll ride in the call.

Mohegan Fire has 2 of them....there are NO MID-MOUNTS in the area. seems like a good idea for one to make it to the tri-village.
A straight stick would benefit more then another tower ladder in my opinion. The two closest straight sticks are Mohegan's Ladder 35 and Ossining's Ladder 41. Both aren't exactly right down the road either.

the rumors that i heard they are looking at a mid-mount.
Same. Last I heard they were still looking at a few manufacturers, but no decision yet.

Another engine for Bu-Planck-trose,
Wait! Aren't we suppose to be consolidating the tri-village?

Maybe they should consolidate with another news department, that way they post stuff people actually care about.

I know almost nothing about the tri-villages, but was curious how your $200k budget compares to the other depts on a per capital level. The cost per resident is the real measure of efficiency.
Does the cost per resident vary depending on the size of the district? I know Montrose FD's district is almost 13 square miles, so would the cost per resident be lower then other fire districts??

If not the entire rig, at least the aerial portion needs to be replaced.

he seems low, cut the line, and pick him up in the water.
He's about 75 feet above the water, still quite a drop...

Apparently, this guy is REALLY pissed off at Rockland County government, according to News 12.

Another outstanding job as always, way to go 60!

So if the engine doesn't pay the meter, do they get ticketed??

It was a tough battle. As a Giants fan, I have to give a lot of credit to the 49er's, they fought hard tonight.
