Description: 

Dispatched as a Working Structure Fire with Entrapment. First arriving units reported a fully involved structure fire and confirmed the entrapment. 5 persons are confirmed deceased, 2 adults and 3 children, all under the age of 12. One person is currently at an area burn center.

Palenville Fire District in Greene County has been authorized to move forward with the purchase of a new Tanker. Results of the referendum was 64 YES to 2 NO.

Consolidated Hose Engine 77 is getting a Cyclone IIX with a 1500 GPM Hale QMax Pump, 750 Gallon Tank, 30A Foam. Phenix Hose Engine 76 is getting a Cyclone II with a 2000 GPM Pump, 750 Gallon Tank, and 30 Foam. 

Thornwood Fire District will be taking delivery of a 2016 Sutphen Custom Pumper soon. This rig will replace the recently retired Engine 89.

Unionville Fire in Orange County has purchased a 2008 KME Predator Rescue Pumper with a 1500 gpm Pump and 1000 Gallon Tank. Designated as Engine 744 once in service, It will be replacing a 1999 Freightliner/ 3D Pumper 1250/750/40.

Cairo,NY(Greene County) will be taking delivery sometime this week of their new 2016 International/ Rosenbauer 750/3000 Tanker!

Any update on Woodbury's Type III Wildland Engine? It's been a while since I heard anything on it. The 2010 Ford Brush Truck was auctioned off on Auctions International a few months ago.

West Athens-LimeStreet Fire District in Greene County,NY will be taking delivery of a 2016 KME Predator Panther Engine Tanker sometime next week. It will be assigned as ETA 27-4 and will replace a 1995 International/Luverne Pumper. Will post pictures of its delivery next week.

UPDATE: Mountain View Fire Company has taken over fire protection for the Town of Greenville. They are now operating with Greenville Fire District's former Apparatus .

I was scrolling through Facebook just now and saw this post, from the Greenville Fire Department. It seems like so many local fire departments are disbanding lately, first Port Chester Career, and now Greenville. According to a source, the trucks were locked up in a chain link fenced in area at the firehouse, and that if members respond to any calls, they will be prosecuted and charged. Washingtonville's New Engine 582 is in production at Ferrara. It will be a twin to the current Engine 584.
