I attended the RI EMS Expo this past week and have uploaded some photos. Great, conference! I would recommend it to anyone. Worth the drive if you can make it. Inexpensive, good CE and vendors. Got a chance to see the Stryker Power Load and try it out, very nice! Johnston, RI rescue had an interesting feature. The bench seat had a step built into it. Added some extra room to maneuver in that area. It was possible due to the location of the wheel well. Rhode Island Hospital/Hasbro Children's had some nice trucks as well!

Posted today on AMR's Facebook page. Interesting graphics, big change from previous trucks. Large star of life is interesting. I guess this is the new national scheme, these trucks are from Nashua, NH. I haven't seen any down here in MA yet.

For those interested in learning more about BFD hiring/MA Civil Service a link below that might be of interest. BFD is having open houses at stations throughout the city for interested applicants this year. There is a live chat option coming up. Veterans have preference as well for hiring. I believe there are multiple testing locations throughout the state based on your location. I have taken tests in two different cities outside of Boston and I live in Boston. Being a paramedic seems to help with getting hired for FD that provide ALS transporting. More towns have been taking back EMS these days and have been hiring medics.

I was in Virginia Beach a few years ago. Nice town, has a large tourist focus and also a large military presence. I was staying across the street from the Station Landing station and went over one evening. They had a nice modern fleet at the time and from reading in FAJ they seem to have kept that up. This station had a really nice training set up out back. I believe EMS at the time was provided by a combination paid/volunteer staff, but don't quote me on that, and not sure how it is now. Plus the view isn't bad down there! Might be worth looking into if you can.

Great photos, thanks for sharing! That is a first for me, I have never seen a Honda Pilot used in law enforcement. The new tower looks nice, I liked their old Pierce!

If I remember correctly, and things may have changed, but the medical members of NCLF were volunteers and the pilot was a NYS Trooper. The primary mission of the helo was law enforcement and it was tasked for EMS when needed. I remember they would return to quarters and be called out on a LE mission. The medical side was a flight nurse and EMT or EMT-P. Also great crews to work with. Upload happy tonight, I included the Eurocopter BO 105 that they used to use and what they are currently flying.

I thought I would add some photos from the area as well. St. Mike previously handled NICU transports for hospitals in the area. I thought I had a picture of their Medium duty NICU truck but can't find. I included an older UVM truck, 2007 PL Custom, at the FAHC helipad with North Country Life Flight. Others are Burlington, VT 2009 Osage and E1 E One. Sorry, SMRS is not the best quality.
