  7. Hello folks, I have not posted in a long time, just cant help myself, what has happened in 3 years:

    New Rigs

    New repeater portables

    New Scotts

    A real inventory of equipment

New CAD software and real IT network which we run

Replacement gear and washing and repair

    BailOut systems

This is just a few of the examples of progress, Noah Lighty and Ted Beale have put us on a new path and they deserve a pat on the back, with the coming election we dont no what tommorow brings but they have shown leadership and that having your own people up top can make a difference. Lending Hartsdale a rig is a thank you from the past, we have received more then we gave. Might be my last post ( Law Dept.) Thanks to all for the past support.

  8. Not sure about the Vern last night but I know the Y-O tried to send NR to the Vern after being released. THAT wasn"t happening:

Hey Firediver If I'm reading this correct, good for you guys, you finally got a clue. As for Mt. Vernon not supporting towns and villages close by: makes you wonder how well MA really works. There's no doubt we owe more then we give, and what thought is being put into these lists that are made up by leaders in other cities??

If one of them is Mt. Vernon cant man its own job, there right

Lets see: Greenville at least 20-30 minutes for arrival

Mt. Vernon to Pelham Manor: 4-6 minutes. Wonder why??? Cant be were using a system designed during WW2, Na silly of me.

Maybe politics, Na, no way would our leaders think of such a thing.

I know when we showed up with a Yonkers truck, we would confuse everybody and then this MA system would have to take a time out and start over.

    Happy New Year.

PS Some one just sent me Pics of the job and I saw a White Plains truck, gee now I take back all I said MA must be working, White Plains is much closer then Greenville.

  9. :o

Local 107 has put up a new web site for 2009, a smaller and more compact site, at this time the members page is not password protected-no need at this time.

We invite all to drop by and check it out, read our history page, and contact us to let us know how we're doing. Content and pages will follow as the year goes by.

You can get there at: fdmv.net

    Enjoy

  10. This very well could be the start of a ugly situation, other cities and townes will look at this model and try and follow it. You might see Mt. Vernon going with only 4 Engines, why not?? We use M/A like its ours so we'll let Eastchester, New Rochelle, White Plains, Pelham, Pelham Manor, did I miss anybody?? All unions need to pay close attention and be ready to respond. Oh yea, Greenville, Fairview, the international and State have droped the ball and we will pay a price for it. Wonder who's next????

    Merry Christmas???????????????????????????????????

  11. I hear what EFD184 is saying, all we hear is negative, but all these post have been about facts, most from lowhud, this forum is at least a place where our story is heard.

No one here wants to see these stories, and we sure dont want to hear them, but I can understand from outside what this MUST look like. I never, ever heard one negative post on our members, only the root cause.

    Happy Holidays to all

  12. We have been running only one truck for 3 weeks now, 4-5 days with no trucks, they took ladder2 and rode as a ground ladder platform only. This is without a doubt the most we'll use outside resources and not address or own needs situation I've ever seen. This is not new to us but this is the lowest time for this job I remember. All negative, nothing positive, and I really dont see a light at the end of the tunnel. All the outside towns and cities should speak up and demand an accounting from the top of FDMV on how the He}} we got this bad. I Only pray some of our guys dont need that stick , that we dont have. I'm sure though the poeple that run this circus will tell you everything is alright. Its not my fault, I only follow orders, its somebody's fault but not mine. Oh I forgot EMTBravo is to blame, if it were not for this forum all this would be okay.

    Have a happy Thanksgiving.

  13. Gotta say this is a topic I shouldnt respond to but some times a lesson learned is better for all, one time we had a job come in only two blocks from the house, I was driving ladder 2, on arrival we had heavy smoke showing out of the 2nd. floor window on the 2 side. My crew went in to search and vent and the 2nd. truck was still a little out, I made a call and laddered the building with the stick and went up to put a vent hole over were they were working, after I started the hole I realized what a bone head move, I looked down at the truck and thought what happens if something happens?? After awile a MPO got on the stick, which I didnt like either. Lesson of the day" think dope".

  14. Well Ill add my 2 cents ( I havent been in trouble for awhile )

Ive been on vaca so I only know what I was told, L-3 Hyd. problem, L-2 has sensors screaming in the cab but its OK, so the bosses say. I really no longer care what this circle jerk place does, its all done with mirrors any way. When we note a problem, were complaining, when we ask for spare equipment they send us to the garbage hep, our own guys no longer say boo on anything because their being lead down a dangerous road by incompatent leadership.

    Houses closed

    rigs a mess

    NO spare equipment

    Morale= 0

But if asked everything is OK

I cant understand how New Rochelle does it, time after time.

I and most on this job love it for what it is ,a nobel and awsome job, gives a person a sense of worth, what is going on in the zoo is killing us and because of troubling divides we cant see the place for what it is, a terrible accident waiting to happen.
