Yep, it is. Owner is a member of Yorktown Heights, which probably explains it's presence there accompanying the other PCFD rigs.

I was going to bump that post up for easier reference, but it says it's been archived and can't be replied to. Wow, can't believe it's been three years since those rigs came up here. Where DOES the time go???

You're not wrong, it did. And the year before, too, most likely. And they still continue to appear as such. Once somebody falls off that rig (or one of the aforementioned shuttle engines), it'll just give the anti-parade crowd that much more ammo for their argument. But let's not turn this into another one of "those" threads. Great pics! Looks like you were right down the street from where I would have been. Did I mention how much I love working second shift hours? [/sarcasm]. Oh, and if somebody would give that White Plains babe my number, yeah, that would be nice.

He's all of 15 years old, too. Very impressive!

Rombout may be "better" (matter of opinion), but it is older. New Hamburg is the newer of the two rigs.
Some nice shots of nice looking apparatus in this thread.

Ahh, the season's starting early! Might have to take a ride down, if the weather's nice. Would love to get some outdoor photos of the rig. Will there be shirts, mugs, etc. for sale? Just curious.

The first of the five new Ferrara rescues being constructed for FDNY is finished and will be assigned to Rescue 5. Here are a few photos of it on display at the Long Island Fire, Rescue & EMS Mega Show, which is going on this weekend at Nassau Coliseum. My apologies for the "cluttered" and blurry shots. Was very difficult to get a good shot with all the people around, and a "point and shoot" job doesn't always get along with sub-par lighting situations. But, until the rig is delivered and the "experts" get access to it, these will have to do.

They took delivery in November, 2010. I have yet to see it, personally. Hope to change that soon.

Here's a few shots of FDNY's newest apparatus. Tower Ladder 46 was placed in service last Wednesday (?) and the on-duty crew was generous enough to pose it in front of quarters for members and guests of the New Jersey Metro Fire Photographers Association this past Sunday.
