  3. This year the Mount Kisco Fire Department's Ancient Fife and Drum Corp is celebrating its 75 Anniversary. As many of you know and see during the summer months the MKFD Ancients march for the MKFD in firemen's parades and have marched for other dept.s when Mount Kisco is not taking part. A great organization that really performs on a high level. The link below is a background on the corp and a news clip commemorating the corps 75th. Independent Fire Co.

  7. Does the county have a spare or a support unit for their hazmat or was the hazmat they gave to White Plains the county hazmat support truck?
  8. Great pic of the truck. The hooks have put some great features into this new truck and the new SPH100 works so well for them and our district. Great job Hooks members and truck committee truck looks great! Good luck and enjoy, can't wait to see it in service.
  9. Thought the test was nice. Our whole room paused during the test to watch White Plains FD Ladder 34 respond past the high school for a call.
  10. I believe that the newer Mack trucks were to replace the high rise rescues and I believe a few other Special Operations rescue support trucks. Sorry don't have any pictures though.
  11. I agree, never seen it at a parade. I may be mistaken but doesn't the field Comm respond to two alarms and above? Not that wes see it at many large scale incidents but it does get around. Two years ago we had it in Mount Kisco at a two alarm fire on Lexington Ave. There were pics floating around of it there. Very interested to hear about these other units. Its great going to the county and seeing all the apparatus (sepcial ops, support trucks, trailers, and the support building) and knowing we have the resources just wish we knew what they had. By the way talking of county trailers and stuff I haven't heard anything about the MDU's that were distributed around the county. How do you get one of those to respond?

  13. What does it even matter? The members in the forum are looking for specs and info on a new rig to ether consider specs for their next truck or just to see what's new riding around town. Though it may not be news to you it may be news to others. The selling of the last aerial may have had to do with the purchase of this new tower (which as stated the hooks use more frequently) but let's let a Hooks member set us straight. I think everyone else here is more interested in the specs.

  21. My condolences to the Kelly and Ruggerio families and all of the brothers in the Tarrytown FD. May you find strength in these hard times. Thoughts also go out to all those who responded to the scene last night. RIP Brothers.
  22. Nice truck and congrats to Katonah. Nice looking rig! E-115 ran it's first fire today in Katonah! Private dwelling fire on Fisher Lane in Katonah. Great job hope you enjoy your new truck.
  23. I believe it responds with the emergency trouble shooters and the number nine crews to emergencies. These crews handle electric emergencies. I'm sure the lights are for higher visibility at work sites. Like firedude said these guys handle major emergencies and power problems. Kind of like the ESU or SOC of Con Ed.
  24. What type of truck? A supervisor vehicle or work van? I'm sure it was one of the emergency supervisors.
  25. Any idea what this was for? Just training or a specific event? Stiles got it I believe the 1948 Seagrave served as possibly E-105. It served while IFCO shared a house with the Hooks on Maple Ave.
