22 posts in this topic

Anybody catch the double rainbow after the storm came through?

I tried to get a cople pictures, here's an attempt:

The upper one isn't as vivid as the lower one, but if you look it's there.

That's pretty cool. Thanks for capturing that I don't think I've ever seen that.

We (over in Bedford) also caught a glimpse of that double rainbow on the way to one of our calls right after that nasty line of thunderstorms moved through...pretty cool! If you look closely, you can see both just above our ambulance. post-2584-1212325592.jpg

Looks like the end of the rainbow was somewhere around Mt. Vernon. Did anyone from Mt. Vernon look for the 'pot of gold'.

I saw this rainbow last night it was very cool!.

With most double rainbows, the second (outer one) the colors are reversed due to a second reflection of the light occurring, and have a dark band (Alexander's band) between them.

Go Figure and I thought the pic by my house was cool. Guess you got me beat-LOL!!! And at the price of gold these days, maybe we should go looking, if we find it, we can all afford a tank of gas :)
