A member of The Police Pipes and Drums of Bergen County collapsed and died just after noon today while marching in the St. Patrick’s Day Parade.

Steve Dunne, 59 and a tenor drummer, had marched from 41st Street to about 75th Street before collapsing, said witnesses at the parade.

The ambulence that was transporting him went right past where I was standing while I was at the parade. May he rest in peace.

Condolences to his family & friends.

A lot of credit to his fellow band members; to be able to continue on with the rest of the parade route. It had to be very difficult for them.
