Off-duty Peekskill PD Officer Julian Hermosillo killed in upstate crash

PEEKSKILL — A well-respected, four-year member of the Peekskill Police Department was killed in a car accident Sunday night in Goshen that also claimed the life of another woman, Peekskill Chief Eugene Tumolo said today.

Officer Julian Hermosillo, 29, died in the two-car crash that happened around 8:30 p.m. on Route 17 in Goshen, state police said. A 90-year-old woman who was a passenger in an Audi sedan that Hermosillo’s Jeep collided with was also killed, state police said. Hermosillo was off duty at the time

Officer Hermosillo was just honored a few months ago for preforming cpr on someone in cardiac arrest. Big loss. Thoughts and prayers to friends, family and members of the Peekskill PD.

WAKE FOR POLICE OFFICER HERMOSILLO is TODAY Thursday November 15th

2pm to 6pm at Nardone's Funeral Home on Washington Street in Peekskill.

About to leave to go to his wake, i was told he is being flown to CA later today, with full police escort to JFK Airport.
