2005 Run Totals.......

62 posts in this topic

Not exact numbers for Briarcliff Manor but these are very close (I believe the Fire calls are a record but not the EMS) . Please note that we now send Engine 92 or Rescue 37 for EMS assist on all EMS calls. The Fire runs do not reflect those EMS assists/.

Fire Calls - 722

EMS Calls - 709

Total - 1431

One more comment on Rye since we are talking run totals. 882 for '05 which reverses a slight downward trend over the last two years. Spread evenly throughout the year without any big spike in any one month.

Sydney Australia.

total alarms :146,280

Busiest engine:flyer 1: 7,840(which is down 500 from 04 because they split their first due area up between 2 other close companys because they where getting way to busy)

The dept only runs fire calls as we have seperate ems dept, but there is talk of doing first responder calls in the future god help flyer 1 if that happens.

Flyer 1 (the call sign goes back to the start of the dept) is in a area just like mid town manhatten so most of there calls are to auto matic fire alarms, the busiest working engines are out in the south west area of the city.

2006 started of busy with 1,239 alarms on JAN 1 a day where the temp reached 45.6C or 112F.Hope this gives some insight to us guys down under.

For any FDNY buffs.... My cousin told me the TOP 3 Busiest FDNY ENGINE COMPANIES for 2005 were :

ENGINE CO. 75 ------ approx 5,700 runs --- this company is located in the west fordham section of the bronx..Jerome ave area

ENGINE CO. 69 ------ approx 5,400 runs --- this company is located in the Harlem/ Washington Heights region

ENGINE CO. 290 ----- approx 5,300 runs ---located in East New York Brooklyn

Further particulars will follow i imagine with the Truck companies in theses firehouses being in the top 10 .... Ladder 33 , Ladder 28, Ladder 103 respectively....

Anyone with further info would be appreciated

Just wondering if anyone has their department's year end totals for 2005. How many runs total and which engine/truck company was their busiest. I don't know Yonkers totals yet but I'm sure we'll have them soon. Thanks. Joe

Village of Cobleskill FD, upstate NY, had 426 calls for 2005. We received a new engine in august, and are currently speccing a new brush truck.
