Seth looks like a Western Diamondback Rattlesnake, Crotalus atrox, VERY nasty indeed. Not endangered at all, these are the ones they go out and get for the round ups.
Gamewell45 , if that Timber was 6' that would be a NYS record

I agree that the Diesel engines last longer than the gas engines but with the exception of the paid service who keeps their ambulances long enough for it to matter. Today’s gas engines will last at least 100k and in my opinion cost less to maintain. The oil changes are half the cost and there’s one thing you don’t have to worry about, if you have a Ford which most are, the turbo’s are a nightmare anymore and they aren’t cheap to replace.

Does that rack store portable ponds or suction below the ladders?
Nice looking rig, good luck with it!
Portable suction hose is in the box the ladder is mounted to

What' happens to the present 21-6-1(Ex 2-3)??
The current 21-6-1 will become 21-6-2. It will still have a complete set of tools as a backup rescue, It will be second due to all accidents. Its primary use will be more of a technical rescue having our mountain packs and water rescue suits. It will also do all traffic control calls, pump outs and wires calls

The final inspection is next week. The truck will be a Rescue/Pumper filling the shoes of both our old source rig and rescue which we've out grown. Truck has a 1000gal tank with a 1500GPM pump, light tower and 2 full sets of Hurst tools

Gotta agree with Dan..very nice looking truck (im a big fan of the Tahoes). Its somewhat simple, yet very classy with the goldleaf.
Side question to NHFD...Chief, i havent been in "your neck of the woods" in awhile now. How old is your firehouse? I know i have never seen it, but looks real nice and relatively new.
Firehouse is almost 3 years old now
