Click on your user-name from the top of the forum home page and select "My Profile", then choose "Edit My Profile"
Under General account Settings you then select "Change my photo"
A pop-out screen appears which allows you to browse to and select a suitable image file, then click "done"
If your current browser security settings blocks or otherwise doesn't support this, try using a different browser.

I can only imagine the flurry of blame being pointed on how come critical valves necessary to isolate the break won't operate.
Let's see... could it be that routine valve maintenance took the brunt of budget hits over the years?

Thanks Ang. You guys are alright in my book. Thank you very much for thinking of us. We did a lot of preparation, shuttered up the doors and windows, bought all the emergency supplies. Thankfully the storm did not grow to Cat 1 here. So we're fine. Minor and I mean minor wind damage.
Thoughts and prayers turn now toward our Brothers and Sisters on up on the Gulf coast.
But I'll still take the goodwill supplies. When are you expecting to arrive?

In my opinion no fire department should ever "reset" an activated fire/smoke/water-flow alarm condition, commercial, residential, or otherwise. It should be entirely the responsibility of the property/system owner to have the system restored to proper function, and only by someone who is competent in doing so. There is entirely too much liability.
This is not to say that there aren't knowledgeable fire department personnel who may in fact be familiar with a particular system or control panel, but God forbid something goes wrong afterward, the onus invariably falls on "who was the last person to touch it?".
I would not want to be that person.

A civilian commissioner may in fact have no authority on a scene, but if an employee operating under their direction is ordered to do his or her bidding, it had better happen, or said employee will invariably face a very uncomfortable future.

Seth had been accepting checks toward donations in the past, unfortunately current circumstances preclude that as an option.
While we are working on a solution for a method to accept checks again, and only as a suggestion, perhaps you could persuade another member to submit a donation on your behalf, and we can give you the proper recognition once the transaction is completed.
Once the dust settles hopefully we can establish a permanent method for accepting paper checks, cash or money orders.

Honorary Brighton Colorado Police Officer Jose Rubio-Pavon passed away Friday after a courageous battle with brain cancer, he was 12 years old.
Jose had always wanted to be a police officer so in May, Officers from the Brighton PD swore him in during a ceremony in his hospice room and gave him a uniform shirt, shield and a certificate.
This is a sad story but I'm sure these officers made the last few months of this boy's life a little better.
The Brighton PD and FD led the funeral procession.

Why does it matter aside from maybe helping figure out what is wrong with the patient? Forget about how its just wrong to treat someone differently based upon a medical condition, what if they don't know they're carrying some disease. Everyone gets treated the same unless I suspect an infection requiring droplet precautions.
