Also as far as just grabbing people and pulling them out, may want to rethink this. No need to pull dead people out and we should consider quick combat type bleeding control and then remove. Green Tags can be directed a safe route out and only issue would be the yellow tags. Would need to consider leaving in place if safe or use resources to remove.
Look at Boston. Most patients who were in danger of bleeding out had some form of bleeding control done, many by bystanders. No spinal immobilization just quick bleeding control and go.

As Eli points out the must be EASV and meet part 800. This also includes the name on the vehicle
You can get waivers so I don't know what they have or have not done.

70 means you meet minimum qualifications. You have to look at the noe to see what gives you the extra points such as work experience.
Also if they are still doing things like when I was there. Some of the people in front of you could be hired already. But that is the order they call people.
Also there could be people who have moved on to other jobs such as PD or something so it's hard to determine when you will be called

FDNY at times will release a vehicle and driver from the rock. You may have seen Ladder 62 or Engine 99 at the rock.
The movie prop rigs are not old FDNY rigs, they come from other places and repainted to look like ours.
We have many members who are members of the Screen Actors Guild that work the Tv shows and movies. You will find that these members will bring along of FF's when needed but you can only work so many hours until you are required to join the SAG.
Currently there are FDNY FF's working the movie Magnus rex? as extras playing cops.

No I repeat No fireground communications should be on a repeater or trunked system. It should be simplex and analog.. end of story..
Can you use repeaters and other things to enhance communications sure.
As far as departments who want a dispatcher to listen, Simple solution is a vehicle repeaters.

Note the ACU1000 this is a great unit and in the SUV a great idea.
Now if you have multiple departments on scene you can link channels together to setup command freqs for interop. You can even take a portable and link it into the system. Have worked with these setups,they work very well.
Today at the penn station incident FDNY deployed true Interop channels. They were able to use UTAC channels to speak across river with North Hudson, however only the BC radios have this. So if we had deployed the ACU we could link UTAC and FDNY TAC to allow the members in the tunnels to speak with each other.

It is a program that runs on the mdt in the battalion car. It's linked into our electronic riding list program. When the software detects a radio id using a form of mdc it adds the company to a list of units on scene.
Any time someone hits the orange button it will log it to.the screen
The other feature is a roll call. It will split the screen showing accounted and accounted.
You push your radio 3 times to get accounted during a rollcall.
