Sorry to hear Tom Sutphen passed away, he was one energetic old timer, hard to keep up with him. Always enjoyed his company.

It's very coincidental that Tom Sutphen passed away last year, and now they are coming out with a rear mount. I have always heard that Tom Sutphen always held by his belief that a mid mount was far superior. But it now looks like the Seagrave Meanstick and other have some more competition.

I love it! Ford is always setting the standard and treading over Chevrolet and the others! Definitely the Seagrave of the automotive world!   I love the new F-150 and the SSV is such a great extension to that product line. "Built Ford Tough" all the way!

But Sutphen has disappointed me. It was introduced hours ago, and still nothing on their website. They are losing on their ability to capitalize on this positive publicity and the traffic it brings to their site.
 

 
 
 
 

Sutphen will be announcing a new line of rear mount aerials at FDIC tomorrow.

Pine Bush FD in Orange County has an '82 Mack 'scope with a pump and water tank. Many departments use quints, so why not on an Aerialscope.  Seagrave is smart to offer it.

Heard Eastchester is shopping around for a used engine. They should look into this, and invest in the long term instead of letting the fleet deteriorate and fixing it with temporary band aid measures. For a Seagrave this is a great price!
