That's easy. The direction of that topic of discussion would depend entirely on whether he was paid, or not.
LOL

What would the discussion be like if he had EMTbravo up on it?

Your point is well taken. If something like this happens again, we'll definitely put a post in it so everyone knows it has been restored.

The best part is, it happened, all the whining in the world wont reverse that, and you know what it probably wont stop the FD from asking for help again. Good job brothers. I sure as hell wouldnt b**** about cops trying to lend a hand, and id lend a hand to them in a heart beat.

And yet everyone (including myself) applauded members of the FDNY for backing up and assisting NYPD officers in Staten Island who were faced with a large unruly crowd.
Who's guarding the hen house? The other Troopers working. Those Troopers most likely would have been assigned to the fire scene anyways.
If a Firefighter taking one of my guns to help me in a firefight saves my ass or someone else's, I'm good with it. These Troopers didn't take the hose from anyone's hands, they were asked by the Fire Chief to help. Any cop would have stepped up and did the right thing.
The simple fact is web the crap hits the fan, emergency service providers step up and do the right thing for the communities we serve and for our fellow emergency service providers. These Troopers were not tasked with an interior attack, they were tasked with spraying some water on a fire from well outside the structure because the FD didn't have the manpower. If I was a homeowner, I'd be pretty damn grateful.

Did you not read the first sentence with the word volunteer emblazoned in all caps for all the world to see how we're the scum of the earth? Perhaps not.
Top to bottom, left to right. Group words together as a sentence. Many sentences comprise a thought. Maybe they didn't teach you that in elementary school.

The lost art of the fire service at its best. Why not just build robots to do our jobs?
Keep training with the bare minimum and never rely on modern day firefighting tools.

So on top of the 120lbs extra we now carry you need to put a 6lb TV on your face. They can keep it

I think its concept is too futuristic to ever work effectively. If they take away the finger tip thing I think it would be better.

We did a make a wish a few years ago where a kid wanted to be a super hero who "saved the day" with police escort and everything. It was the most amazing and rewarding experience of my career and it will stick with me always. Wish we could do more of that!

#1 if you dont have the proper information you should not be posting this picture!!!!!! the lines were cut off and the chief was given the go ahead by con ed to put out the visible fire.
#2 this is a local fire department and the chief of the department is a family friend.
#3 i called this in I was at the hospital when this happened i watched it from the ER entrance.
#4 He's using a dry chem. I myself have seen people using water cans in short bursts to put out lines on fire. as long as there is not a long spray from a water can you are completely safe. this is what I was told by a line men for con ed.
