Those poor guys haven't had a consistent livery in a long time. They have the white with blue stripes which is most common, but a few years ago they had silver with blue & yellow stripes. There are still a few silver cars around in CT.
As an aside, does anyone know why TBTA did not merge into MTA PD when all the others did, I know they picked up a highway unit due to the merger.

First, I don't really see how the color schemes match, other than they both have New York State on them in yellow letters. The patrol car is either NYSP blue or a very close match and has the tbta patch and license plate on it. The truck is black and looks like someone flipped the dot color scheme, making the yellow parts black and black parts yellow, and then it has a generic NYS logo on the door. Plus, what would the TBTA be doing with 30 of those trucks up in Rockland County? Finally tbta pd is already their own law enforcement agency, if they split away from the tbta, who answers to the mta, who's authority would they be under in order to enforce any laws or have a jurisdiction.
Do you really think it's the BTO's behind this? This is Cumuo taking a page out of Bloomberg's book from when Bloomberg had all the traffic and school safety vehicles repainted white and light blue to make it look like there were more cops on the streets. Since Cumuo is sending as many troopers as he can to NYC in whatever him and DeBlasio are going on about, Cumuo is repainting all state law enforcement vehicles down there in NYSP colors to make it look like there's more troopers out there. Wouldn't suprise me if you saw the MTA pd start switching over too.

As far as I know, they SOD EMTs & Paramedics do not wear this patch on their uniforms. They have a uniform that is different than non-SOD employees, but they wear the standard Empress patch on their sleeve

@trauma74 Thanks for the response. I know they wear a breast patch but I was wondering about the shoulder patch.

Hello all,
saw this picture on the Empress Facebook page and it looks like Yonkers has some new stickers on there METU. One thing that struck me was the logo for Empress Special Ops, does anyone know if this is an actual patch or if Empress Special Ops has a patch to begin with.
Thanks...

Unfortunately for her and her neighbors, even in this day and age, the siren serves as a very important redundancy, which is mentioned.

King Como II is at it again!
ALBANY - Gov. Andrew Cuomo's administration dotted New York with 514 highway signs touting its tourism programs despite a federal ruling explicitly prohibiting the state from doing so.
Documents obtained by the USA Today Network's Albany Bureau show the Federal Highway Administration has repeatedly notified Cuomo's administration over the past three years that the signs violate federal and state law, which contain strict rules for what can and cannot be displayed on major roadways.
But the state Department of Transportation and Thruway Authority appear to have ignored the warnings, rapidly expanding the signage across the state while federal officials continued to voice concerns.
"It is our responsibility to ensure safety and compliance with (federal traffic sign rules) and therefore cannot condone the use of non-compliant signs on the federal-aid system in the state of New York," Randy Warden, a team leader for the highway administration, wrote to the state DOT in April 2014.

It would be nice if they did NYC. There has not been anything in NYC since COPS did a few episodes back when NYPD was wearing light blue shirts

Never looked down at the dispatchers at 60 Control. Bickered with some at times, but everybody has a difference of opinion now and then. I also always considered them my co-workers, just like the firefighters riding with me. We would many times invite them to our firehouse for a meal or coffee. To me, they did a great job. Of course, some in my profession treated them, lets just say, differently.

In honor of Rockland County native and FDNY Battalion Chief Michael Fahy who was tragically killed yesterday in an explosion of an illegal drug lab in the Bronx, our department vehicles will be displaying a red line across the rear windows of our patrol vehicles in his memory. This was the idea of PO Andrew Yorke and he was assisted by PO Mike Careswell, K-9 Officer Lou Venturini, Sgt. Rick Marsh and Sgt. Dave Tarantino. We greatly appreciate Chief Fahy's as well as all firefighters service to their communities. - Chief Osborn
In honor of FDNY Battalion Chief Fahy, we at the Suffern PD would like to extend our condolences and support to Firefighters everywhere. Thin Red Line's have been placed on the rear window of our cruisers to show our love. It's the least we could do after Suffern FD has been flying Thin Blue Line flags from their apparatus to support us in trying times.
