I am a volunteer FF, so I am in no way bashing Vol FFs, nor trying to start a vol vs career fight.

I am just truly curious as to why a Vol company with 6 members get this money? To my knowledge, the Vols in Hartsdale are not actually involved in emergency responses. Perhaps I am incorrect?

I am sure this is the case in other depts as well.

In a combination department the money is split on a pro rated basis between the career and volunteer side

Car 2443 is due to replaced with an identical vehicle in the next few months. We also took delivery of an identical vehicle in white that is now Car 2441 a few months ago.

Larchmont TL-7 was sent to cover a Yonkers station during last night's 4th alarm.

They sent all their career staff, and put the Town Of Mamaroneck FD on standby to cover Larchmont for 9 hours.

How many career staff were on the assignment. 3? 4? If that's all that's on duty at the station on any given shift, isn't Larchmont playing a shell game to begin with?
