  3. In other Mt. Kisco news, Ladder 43 was "taken away" this morning...
  4. Facing the front of the truck, on the left side is a pre-connected trashline, and on the right side is the pump control panel. Both are concealed by diamondplate covers. The rest of the bumper is the pump itself, and two sets of discharges on either side.
  5. Once again, Verplanck's old snorkel...from this old topic: http://emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=15495&hl= The photo of the snorkel is the second link.
  6. Looks like an old Mack MB or an old Brockway...a converted oil truck, perhaps.
  7. Its possible. The current Utility 13 is "2", Engine 105 is "9", and the ex-Engine 106 was "10".

  9. The second truck is a CCC. Judging by the body, the truck should be a street flusher, basically a large power washer on wheels for the roadway. [attachmentid=2731]
  10. The truck is usually escorted by police. I remember hearing this unit called for in a trench collapse not too far back in White Plains. See the topic at: http://emtbravo.net/index.php?showtopic=14...trench+collapse
  11. Although I dont know much about this truck, I would image its no longer in service because wouldn't it state the unit number in the county roster? From what I see, thats 60-control unit designation plate (red) on the front of the truck. Since I see the "Engine" numbers only go up to 300, maybe this truck was 913 under the Thruway and a different number under 60-control. If departments like Greenburgh CD, the DES and NYS Power are listed on the roster, I would imaginge this would have to be if it was still in service. And not to take away from this topic, but I located a picture of a piece of fire apparatus used by the Port Authority, other than an Oshkosh ARFF truck. Its a huge Autocar foam tender/tanker....but dont know much more than that. Sorry, but I dont know what website this was from or who took the picture. [attachmentid=2596]

  13. It appears the E-One has recently released a new cab/engine design called the "Quest". What do you think of the design? More info at: http://www.e-one.com/index.asp?n=73&p=73&s=73&pid=68 [attachmentid=2518]
  14. The White Plains patch comes on the truck, it was designed by Westchester Collectibles with First Gear diecast replicas...only a limited number (to my knowledge) were made. They also have great Port Authority and New York State Thruway Authority versions.
  15. Did anyone else hear of this thing possibly, once again - possibly, turning into a category 1 hurricane off the coast of CT?
  16. Alls I heard was the terrential rains and flooding was going to be an issue for our area, with high wind gusts during and after the storm. Probably going to have to pump a few basements...
  17. First I tried selling you the Port Authority wrecker, now I'm offering the older versions of the CCC spreaders ahaha. From penn-hazle equipment for only $12,500: "1991 Crane Carrier tandem axle, L-10 Cummins, Allison Auto (700 series),central hyd.Swenson 17 Ft. spreaders. The speaders have a full size tail gate and reversing valve.Trucks have plow hitch. Miles are 15,000-25,000. These were municipal trucks." 18. That should be CCC, or the Crane Carrier Corporation. They are still around, and they build heavy duty chassis for NYC Sanitation; they also have been used in mixer type application as well as yard switching tractors. Check em out at: http://www.cranecarrier.com/
  19. The truck is actually for sale and has been for some time now. Its a 1994 Weldbuilt wrecker, and undoubtedly for the Port Authority. Its up for $11,500 . Check it out: http://adcache.trucktraderonline.com/4/0/5/88452705.htm
  20. Found a picture of Rye's recently retired Ladder 26 hiding under a tarp at a private collectors home in Massachusetts. Check it out: http://www.fireservicephotography.com/03_2...07/image11.html http://www.fireservicephotography.com/03_2...07/image12.html
  21. That truck is part of the XT series from International. The MXT has a new cab design. The CXT (one with Jay Leno) is the same cab as the 7000 series, while the RXT has the same cab as the 4000 series. [attachmentid=2427]
  22. On all structural calls within our fire district, there will always be mutual aid heading our way. Because we do not have a tanker or ladder, we can only fight a fire for so long before our resources are depleated. There will always be two tankers and a truck responding regardless. Recently, we have created an automatic contract to have Kisco's Tower Ladder 14 respond on commercial alarms at the Fox Lane School campus. As we all know, automatic responses are beneficial, and its better to ask for something earlier rather than later.
