  1. For my part. I always use www.emtbravo.com as my portal to see the forums at least 3 times a day.
  2. Fully agree. I doubt any police dept. would call out the F.D. if the survivors said they were the only persons in the vehicle, as long as those survivors acted in a believable behavior. Now if they acted drunk or were falling all over the place or barely conscious I would go with the old time proverb: WHEN IN DOUBT, SEND THEM OUT. Who's it gonna hurt to look around fast with the thermal imager. As for the P.D. in my town, they are usually good with calling out the F.D.'s when there may be even the slightest chance of our victims.

  4. Lynch him in the street. My condolences to the officer's family and all others injured.
  5. Nothing like the liberal government trying to tell the people what to do, AGAIN! Typical.
  6. Well done.
  7. I was Late for college and I got into class late and was the only person who knew what was happening in class. And I forget to close my pager and all the tones started going off for all the departments in Putnam County to go on stand by. I didn't even have to say anything, I got up and my professor told me to go once he heard it was a stand by for New York City. I drove up the Taconic to the Falls and called my parents just in case. I was placed on the engine crew in case we were asked to go. Luckily, kind of, we only sent an ambulance and 2 crews. Never Forget! Never Forgive! Never, Ever Fear! Fear is for the Enemy! 12. Well I have never seen a volunteer f.d. or E.M.S. do a pyschological eval.
  13. God, I think its time to not only get a full criminal background check but a pychological evaluation, too.
  14. They have a chief- Alex Mancone.
  15. Pretty much Brewster P.D. was established because the sheriff refused to provide a deputy to the village free of charge like they are provided to every town. They are dispatched primarily by SP Poughkeepsie but also by Putnam 911 and are a part-time force only operating somewhere between 0800 and 2400hrs. Their chief is Alex Mancone and they have 2 vehcles: 7k242- which is the above chevy and 7k241- which is a crown victoria.
  16. I wonder, if a neighbors house to the one they are protecting is burning down do they just stand there, pull out some popcorn and watch.
  17. Just to answer an asked question, this man worked at Pace University in Communications.
  18. I know what you mean, just funny how a small fire district can afford so much money, yet an entire county can't provide that much which would give ALS service for at least 3 years.
  19. Hmmm funny, the Philipstown-North Highlands Fire District can find $4.8 million dollars for a new firehouse; but the Putnam County Legislature can't find $1 million more to add on to a $450,000 budget for A.L.S. service. Interesting.
  20. I am pulling my suit out now. I will see yall at the next Legislature meeting and call up and make these politicians lives horrible until they answer my questions.
  21. I use to work there as a dispatcher for 2 years, would I have to ride on ambulance still first and per diem means when needed right?
  22. Maybe time to move to Peirce if they could handle it. It seems the LAFD likes them and my experience with them has been great. I miss you 19-2-3.
  23. I do remember after Sept 11 the theater in the Cortlandt Town Center was doing it for FD, PD, and EMS but i think they stopped
