Bedford Hills will purchase a tandem walk-in heavy rescue, most likely Seagrave.

Look at this fascist cop in his militarized uniform, clearly violating this little girl's rights from the top of his armored tank. I don't see any reasonable explanation why law enforcement needs access to these battlefield vehicles...
Wait, what's that? He's rescuing this girl from her apartment because a murder suspect has barricaded himself in another unit within the building? Oh. Nevermind then.
Incident is still ongoing, LAPD SWAT still evacuating apartment units.

One down, one to go. Units still in the field looking for the cop killing POS. Happy hunting boys and girls.

Call it what ever you want, but at only 1,000 gallons and no side or rear dump valves and no direct tank fills in the rear and NFPA says that's an engine.

The top picture is of 2F42, which was assigned to the Palisades. The second picture is 1K87, a slick-top, which handled the northern end of the Taconic. When they were in service, there were several dozen assigned around the state.

Intended to prevent FF leg from falling into step well while door is closed. Large numbers of minor, albeit costly FF injuries happen while riding, entering, and leaving fire apparatus.... Especially during inclement weather.

Actually what the run numbers mean is we have way to many rigs in Westchester covering 1 - 2 calls a day. And since most depts. can't properly many the rigs they have, all we are doing is fooling ourselves and the public.

How about posting the numbers that mean something; i.e. Response times, # of INTERIOR FFs per call, etc?

About time someone pulled the curtain back to expose the charade. How many other departments in the county can't meet the NFPA or OSHA standards for minimum staffing yet think they're OK?

They're still not going to be sending enough if they hire four whole guys. Wow.
Just kicking the can down the road. Sooner our later our luck is going to run out and there's going to be a 100% preventable tragedy. We will all call the unwitting victims "hero" and don our spiffy parade uniforms to salute their hearse but we won't fight against the problem that's making them vulnerable now. It's a travesty.

It's sad the levels that some will stoop to just to protect their ego and ensure that their sacred volunteer contingent is protected...all at the cost of the safety of personnel and the citizens he's sworn to protect. Sad really.
