Two Texas Firefighters -LODD fall during training; 1/25/09

It is with deep regret that we advise you that 2 Firefighters from Kilgore (Texas) were killed in the Line of Duty today after they were ejected or fell from the bucket of an aerial tower during training. Additionally, it is reported that 1 or more other Firefighters have also been injured. There are mixed reports of exactly what happened but it is clear that something went wrong causing the Firefighters deaths.

Perkins, Galloway and other firefighters had been training getting on and off the building's roof using a new retractable platform that has a bucket attached. The two men apparently fell out of the bucket, Gage said.

Very saddened to hear that we lost brothers during training. RIP.
