    The brochure has the outriggers out to 18' and the single jack in the middle rear for the single axle. They also have it on a tandem axle with a 16' spread, but 2 Jack's in the rear.

    my concern is the lack of a tandem axle. that much less weight distribution, and less braking. its a new model, some departments will jump on it to be "the first one on the  block." I'll take a flier on it for a couple of years.

    Very interesting truck. Definitely a game changer.
     
    I just noticed, amongst many other things, that the waterway nozzle is behind/underneath the bucket. I guess it wouldn't be able to do storefront deluge.
     
    I also wonder what the prices are for this truck are. It must be up there.

    Nice that they were able to respond. What is the response time like?
     
    Also this brings up an issue I often wonder about in Dispatch, which is interstate M/A. Despite being so close to each other we do very little responses across the line. We just redid our list for Tankers into Stamford that includes many CT & NY departments. I know there are fire boats in Stamford, Darien, Norwalk & I believe Greenwich. Which might have been close enough to respond, although that area might have required a small boat. I know that we don't have any kind of official list on our end, so it may be the same with NY just not being aware of what is available here.

    Although I cannot speak to the fire side at all, Edgemont could easily continue using Greenburgh Town PD. Many villages in New York have agreements with the Towns that encompass them.

    Greenville Fire District, as we know it, would by state law cease to exist. The commissioners would no longer be in charge, the village would now be in charge. Unless Greenville, Fairview, and Hartsdale became one, then the village could be part of that district simular to what happened in Pelham whe. The 2 villages became 1. The district folded

    Description:    Dispatched for reported structure fire.
     
    Upon arrival, Car 2051 reported a working structure fire and requested 2nd alarm response.  Structure and adjacent vehicle fully involved, heavy fire, all occupant evacuated.
     
    M/A units from Ossining FD, Croton FD, Chappaqua FD, Pleasantville FD, Pleasantville VAC, Ossining VAC, Thornwood FD, Pocantico Hills FD and Buchanan FD assisted at the scene or backfilled stations.
     
    Westchester DES Battalion 12 and C&O team also responded.
     
    Multiple 2-1/2" lines and 1-3/4" foam lines were put into play for a defensive operation.

    Putting an engine on the lawn is one thing, but an aerial is another story. You better make sure the ground is solid before raising the ladder/tower especially with a firefighter on the end of it.

    What a crime that White Plains (NY) DPW is selling this! It's in great condition, and doesn't require much attention aside from being garaged and routine maintenance from what I understand. A great public relations tool that should have been held on to! The opportunity to own this piece of history is a once-in-a-lifetime thing. I hope it's not because no one took pride or care if it. Now, this very well may end up at Brookfield being torn apart for scrap.
