Everyone in this topic has said they would do it their way which is absolutely fine. None of you were the IC, and we've heard from members on scene even one in charge of operations, the IC did it how he thought he should run it. That's that. You guys didn't get the answers your looking for and have now jumped on the consolidation argument hoping that will work. I believe it was posted earlier in the topic, this is for discussion about the fire incident itself not consolidation. Feel free to make another topic about that so that can fade away like all the other consolidation topics. Like I said the pettiness and the unhappy with the answers you're getting is the reason this website has died.

And this topic goes to show why this website has gone down the tubes.

Great job and thanks for taking the photos!! Out of curiosity I was told you should try to be 10' away from wires with aerials? Obviously there is inherent risk when dealing with wires. *Not trying to make anything of this by any means just strictly a curiosity/learning question.*

I know for a fact that they do all the time, just because you do not hear them doesn't mean they aren't helping agencies. It seems like you are you basing this statement solely because you do not hear them on your scanner?

    1) then their is no issue with the federal law
    2) Then he should not be chief, new or otherwise. The biggest requirement is that ALL firefighters must have the training BEFORE they respond to any call, even as a probie.
  7. DonMoose liked a post in a topic by mreis95 in WCPD Communications To Handle Tuckahoe PD Calls Overnight
According to the article though it says they will only be dispatched by WCPD, It says nothing about the County PD sending their cars. It's just WCPD dispatching Tuckahoe cars, the town saves their local officers and the "beat cop".

And speaking of blue lights, anyone see the MTA buses in NYC with the flashing blue lights on them? What is the deal there?

    Ahh, I get it!
Run lights and sirens and make everyone move, just so we can get a good video!
All those people in the car's behind the rig must be thrilled... Not to mention scaring the piss out of Grandma and her dog at the end.

wow - it took almost 4 years to answer that question! - Did he just wake up out of a coma? Do they take that long to respond - lol - I stand by my original assesment - the emperor has no clothes!

Why do they need special dispatchers for that? Every other FD has trucks go into/out of service and parades and 60 doesn't make those announcements for them.

Well if they took hose off the above engine wouldn't that make it this 1/2 the hose bed scenario like you said in your first post? In your opinion what do you think is the proper amount of LDH for an Engine to carry?

So instead of responding to someone calling for help this guy thinks it is a better idea to watch his people and emergency vehicles (which are legally allowed to speed within reason). I agree that people do drive faster than the limit. Why doesn't he just call the cops becuase he cannot do anything about it? I'm glad he is destroying morale.
