Somers(Westchester) is sending Engine 180 out for a COMPLETE Refurbishment over the next 4 months.

Churchtown Fire Company, Columbia County NY upgraded 2 pieces in their fleet. Engine 901, 2014 Spartan Metro Star/Toyne 1500/1500/25 and Engine-Tanker 902, a 2014 IH 7600/Toyne, 1000/3000/0. They replaced a 1996 IH 4900/KME Engine (901) and a 1996 IH 4900/KME Eng.-Tanker (902).
Both units purchased from Shakerly Fire Truck Sales, Round Lake NY.

Catskill Fire Department in Greene County,NY has ordered a E-ONE engine tanker. The designation for the new truck will be ETA 3-12. It will take approx. 240 days to build with a late summer 2015 delivery date. The bidders were KME and E-ONE.

Curious about something. Looking at the construction pics of Ossining's sharp looking new Spartan ERV pumper. There is a large "notch" in the top of the cab, the kind usually created to accommodate a rear mount ladder when the cab is raised roof. Is this going to be a quint of some sort? Body appears to be the normal size/style for a regular pumper, which makes me think not. And, light towers usually lay side to side, rather than front to back. Can anyone shed some light on this? Thanks in advance.

2000 GPM - 1000 GWT / 50 GFT. Water tank will be L shaped to have a lower hose bed.
5 man cab extended cab. We eliminated one seat for additional inside storage cabinet to hold EMS and meters.
Harrison Hydro Gen with a 10' extending light tower.
Several other key features include hydraulic ladder and hard suction rack, full length compartments under rear seats and the rear cab wall. All will be accessible from either side from the outside.
Will be built at Sutphen East, looking at a late spring 2015 delivery.
Will be replacing the 1994 Spartan/Smeal.

Glad the brothers will be ok. Could have been much, much worse had that engine not been blocking the scene. A rig can be replaced, humans can not.

If you guys have room,have a small foam system would cut down use of the engines. Say 69-51 is O/S of a car accident,and the car involved catches fire, drag a line and use the foam system to extinguish the fire.

Livingston Manor (Sullivan) recently took delivery of a Freightliner/Pierce tanker.
Wurtsboro (Sullivan) will soon take delivery of a Pierce Quantum pumper (will be on display at FDIC).

Dover (JHK) is taking delivery of a new E-One Engine and a tanker later this year, not sure of the models but I'll get some more information.

Delivery is scheduled for Friday 3/28.

Pine Plains,NY has a new Freightliner/Pierce engine in production. It will be designated Engine 55-11.
