Isn't that the overall department and OEM is a division within?
Yes

I'm sure acts of similar kindness are made everyday but many LEO's but it took the eye of a tourist to bring it to light. One of the few times a spectator takes a positive picture of a police officer instead of a negitive one.

What I, we all could do with $550 million dollars!
But if you hit the jackpot would you stay in your emergency service that your in now?

Almost looks like it may go to an underground storage tank

Alright Guys, more as you requested. All the picture's I've posted have been the MFB, the service mainly stationed in built up areas, would you like to see some pictures of our rural units?
We would like to see any apparatus you want to share. If you have any scene shots we would like to see that too. It's always interesting to see how others do things outside the US.
Thanks again.

TASER Axon Flex: The next generation of body camera
The camera module, about the size of a felt-tip marker, is connected to a wallet-size controller module that is carried on a belt or clipped to clothing
The big police tech news this month was TASER’s new Axon Flex body-worn video recorder. This is an expanding market, as more agencies see the wisdom of moving the dash-mounted patrol car cameras to the officer him/herself. Patrol car cameras have certainly proven their worth, although not everything they’re recorded reflected well on law enforcement. They’ve captured some incredibly courageous performances by law enforcement officers as well as some incidents we would all rather forget. The bottom line is the camera doesn’t lie, and we’re in a game where evidence collection has always been important.
LEO's whats your opinion to have to wear glasses if you normaly don't wear them. Especialy when people have surgery so they don't have to wear glasses.
I'm all for the officer having video documentation, just wanted to know what kind of device you think is best to record evrything.

You have reached 911, press 1 for English, 2 for Spanish, 3 for JUST CONNECT ME ALEADY!!!!
After reading this topic last night I tuned into Wake County and caught a structure fire, it was interesting something that would take time to get used to but it does take away any sense of urgency to a call with no emotion given during the dispatch.

Firefighters rescue 2 people, 1 pet from building
HYDE PARK — Firefighters rescued two people and one pet from a home with a basement fire in the town early this morning, authorities said.
Fairview firefighters were dispatched to a structure fire on Yates Avenue in Hyde Park at 12:55 a.m. today. Firefighters were told there was a person who was possibly trapped inside the building, said district fire Chief Chris Maeder.

Hostess Brands Liquidation: Twinkie-Maker Seeks Court Permission To Liquidate
Hostess Brands Inc. says it's going out of business after striking workers across the country crippled its ability to make its Twinkies, Ding Dongs, Wonder Bread and other snacks.
The company had warned employees that it would file a motion with U.S. Bankruptcy Court Friday seeking permission to shutter its operations and sell assets if plants didn't resume normal operations by a Thursday evening deadline.
This company has been in Chapter 11 protection since January, for bankruptcy and the employees decide to strike with the company threatening to close it's doors if they did and now 18,500 are to be laid off for the holidays. Not too smart on behalf of the unions. As much as it sucks to get paid less, I would rather have a job with less money than no job at all.

I used to get mad about this sort of thing but i realized that it's just some peoples way and most mean no harm. I many times wish I took a picture of somethings but it's never the first thing on my mind. I was in Rockaway a few days ago and took 2 pictures total. Kinda felt guilty taking a picture. Plenty of work still left to do many members lost almost everything. The bright side is you see the brotherhood in action doing the right thing.
I have not been there however, In todays world where anyone who has a phone can take a picture of course you will see photos. Are the jobs being handled? appears to be, is there also some down time from what I hear - yes - I don't see an issue with people taking photos as long as they are not breaking department guidelines or the department where they are stationed request not too.
I believe it's good to take photos to show the destruction people are seeing, it gives an urgency of exactly how bad it is. So as you may want to sit with your feet up (example only not picking on you) others may want to document their experience. This also is documentation that you can bring back to your department for validation of you and your expensive piece of equipment to be down there.
Just my honest opinion.
