And to think this piece of sh#t pleaded not guilty!!!! What a joke. Just put him away for life or give him the death penalty and save us the time and money of a trial.(either way we will be paying )  So now a homeless career criminal will have a roof over his head and 3 meals a day while 5 kids are without a mom who was WORKING to save lives and support her family. Was this tragedy due to a old rig that had problems flowing water? Or lack of manpower? If it was due to a old rig having mechanical problems of any kind then the argument is strong. But if it's because only 12 firefighters showed up that's a whole other argument.   And I would have thought E39 - old Purchase rig would have been scrapped before this one. But so far no one really knows why it was scrapped.  And again further argument does Mamaroneck need 4 engines and 2 ladders?   $1mill for new rig.  Hmmmmmm 

First, your question could be raised RIGHT NOW about the 2nd alarm in Valhalla.  They skipped over a staffed tower ladder in White Plains and Fairview to call a tower ladder in West Harrison.
 
If you have such an issue that the county team that takes over 40 mins to get out and on location ... And we all know that 2001 responds by himself to check and verify (regardless of what the IC states or requests [EDIT: This JUST happened at the Valhalla fire...]) and then an unknown response of unknown number and unknown trained personnel respond... Wasn't utilized, call the Assistant Chief of the department and ask him himself.
 
Better yet, because you know exactly who he is, why not ask him face to face of why he made that call, rather than anonymously and blindly question every facet of his decision made yesterday. Figure out exactly why he did, then come back and with facts, explain it to us.

Maybe they will show the abuse of the 911/EMS system. Tooth aches at 3am. Fevers all day but wait till 1 am to call. Call an ambulance to go one block instaed of a cab  All the drug ODs  Even though those can be good when they come out of it. . I am sure they won't  .  Doesn't make for good TV

The citizens there and in most communities have no clue about the local FD. 
 
They are much more concerned with the goings on at the yacht club and the golf club.

Any time you can train and do any type of an multiple agencies drill  is a good thing.  In all reality,  how many of these agencies will be able to send FULL  crews and apparatus  in a timely matter in a case of a major incident? Astorino  wants to add more flights(People) in and out of the airport, if he gets his way  will this have any change in response or the drill itself?
