This is the first 2015 Chevrolet Tahoe I've seen. It's been redesigned, and it looks good. (So do the 2014 Silverados which I was salivating over....must win lottery soon). I hope to get more shots soon.

Think what you guys want but there are plenty of 20+ year old KMEs roaming the streets of Philly and the companies there are just as busy and the streets can be just as rough.

The following video shows Bloomfield Police Department's Acting Police Chief James Behre speaking at a council meeting.
Acting Chief Behre lays out a history of Councilman Carlos Bernard asking for favors including ticket fixing, favorable treatment for Hispanic officers, and violating the chain of command by contacting officers directly with assignments.
Less than 48 hours later, Acting Chief Behre was placed on administrative leave.

A "Plow trailer", in theory, cuts down the number of trucks needed to clear a multiple lane highway. They are catching on quickly, as it reduces the need for more trucks. Check out the video.

In a few recent threads, members have questioned "why hasn't this been posted yet?".
In most cases, the member had knowledge of the incident and didn't post it. Why the complaint If you're going to ask what took so long on something to get posted, and you knew about it, then why didn't YOU post it?

  20. FDNY 10-75 liked a post in a topic by 10512 in It's Going To Cost $24 To Get Into The 9/11 Museum
This is from a NY Post article. This is why you are paying $24!
"But 11 staffers at the National September 11 Memorial & Museum each pulled down more than $170,000 in total compensation in 2009, according to the most recent filings. Four execs took home more than $320,000.
Foundation President Joseph Daniels, 38, pocketed $371,307 after receiving hefty raises three years in a row — 28 percent in 2006, when he was promoted from acting president, followed by 12 percent and 6 percent.
Museum director Alice Greenwald made $351,000, and capital planning Vice President Joan Gerner soaked up $337,143 before leaving last spring. Development director Cathy Blaney raked in $322,292. The full-time foundation employee also worked last year as a fund-raiser for Gov. Cuomo’s election campaign."
This whole museum and memorial is an embarrassment, and it has been since it was first proposed. There is no reason for this other than the politically connected handing out these jobs.
It has nothing to do with the funding. The money is being squandered.
I will not spend a dime of my money to go there.
This should have been operated by the United States Park Service.
Look at other things the US Park Service runs, take a look at Ellis Island, the Statue of Liberty, check out the many sites in Philadelphia, or Boston, they do an excellant job without the ridiculous salaries/patronage.
It is probably the only thing the US Government does good.

I happened to be upstate this past week when I was able to catch this second alarm in Rochester on Wednesday. It was a 3 story, wood frame abandoned residential structure. Operations were defensive from the beginning. You can note in two of the photos that the parapet wall collapsed onto an adjoining (vacant) building. The building was demolished after the FD picked up by the end of the day due to instability.

  24. Pagers liked a post in a topic by FDNY 10-75 in Good Job or Great Job?
I gotta say it's getting really old every time I look at someones photos of a fire and read "great job guys" on facebook when obviously poor tactics have caused extensive damage and further extension of fire. Or worse, lack of tactics/experience have caused a fatality. It seems to me that there isn't enough negative feedback, specifically in the fire service (Most EMS systems have QA/QI now, I hope). We have 'critiques' with the battalion after a job where we discuss how/why things were done and often point out mistakes but I know this isn't a practice across the board in the career or volunteer service. I have also been to plenty of 'critiques' for other departments where nothing but a few pats on the back were given out despite glaring issues with training, manpower and safety.
For the record, I am not attacking any service, just voicing my opinion.
