Real Nice shots!!

Question - are the 2 trucks identical, and will they carry the same loads?

Both apparatus have the on-board extrication equipment. New to L71 which is the only Ladder Co. not an extrication unit. Of course this changes everything for us dispatchers...lol

How tall are the aerials?

75' - we looked at the 95's and they presented to many issues

Why did Yonkers go with 75' T/L as opposed to 95' T/L? I would think that there is a need for 95' T/L's in Yonkers.

I beleive the 95's need more room width wise to deploy the outriggers....something they do not have alot of in the Y.O.

I may be wrong though.

They gave a lot of thought to it and brought a 95' Tower Ladder through the streets but found that they wouldn't be able to be deployed safely in many areas. Many streets were too narrow and hilly.

Yonkers has always been the "City of Hills"

Yonkers has always been the "City of Hills"

The cynics used to end that sentence "...where nothing's on the level."
